Agency work can be incredibly difficult and taxing at times. But in the end, we always try to remember that first and foremost we are cultivating a relationship with clients, even if that connection never extends beyond the project. Within the creative community, it is sometimes easy to believe that we have a monopoly on creativity and idea generation, and that all the other pencil pushers out there don’t know diddly squat about the rule of thirds or color saturation. But while that may be true, they do know a thing or two about their companies. And that means that WE have to be the ones to listen and be open to the process of co-creation.
Over the past 60 years, the small city of Cannes, France has hosted the annual international festival to celebrate the creative works in the worlds of advertising, branding and campaigning. Over 3,000 commercials were oversaw by the judges, and in the end, 21 Gold Lions, 38 Silver Lions and 70 Bronze Lions were awarded.
This past weekend, dozens of actors and actresses were honored with awards at a red carpet event that has drawn visitors from around the World since 1972. You’ve seen them in movies, commercials and TV, and they’ve worked excruciatingly long and hard to get where they are.
A kind of “re-branding” is taking place in the Bluff City; and we want to be a part of it. Whenever we tell people that Prodigi Arts is an animation company their eyes light up and their ears perk with interest, usually responding with, “I didn’t even know there was an animation company in Memphis!”
