It's time for a change in education, and no one knows that better than the passionate folks at Seeding Success. Now in our second project with the cross-collaborative action network, we had the chance to put together a 90-second animated piece to rally the residents of Shelby County around common outcomes like 3rd grade literacy, 7th grade math proficiency and college readiness. Despite some of the great developments taking place throughout Shelby County like Overton Square, revitalized buildings and other attractive areas of Memphis that we pass on the street, the statistics reveal a less optimistic side. Using data as the primary tool to act upon, the Seeding Success initiative aims to bring stakeholders to the table to assess what is working and what isn't.
Going into the follow up project with Seeding Success, we aimed to take the viewer through an environment that varied in space, design, text and characters. These elements we then incorporated into a motion designed piece to tell the story of an education system that will only improve when collaboration takes place.
We had a great time working with the folks at Seeding Success to create what we help will be the spark that leads to collective action from those throughout Shelby County. If you'd like to learn more about the partnership and how you might get involved, please visit their website.
