Leadership comes in many shapes, sizes and age groups. At least that's what we learned through our most recent project with the community development superstars over at Leadership Memphis.
Recently we had the chance to capture the stories from some of the leaders around the city who are making an impact in the community in unique and noticeable ways. These videos debuted last week at the 10th annual Leadership Memphis luncheon, where 500 guests gathered together to hear the wise words of Nancy L. Zimpher, Chancellor of the State University of New York, as she spoke about creating systems that offer children the greatest opportunities for success in today's world. It was a perfect segway to recognizing the sterling individuals who work bravely to offer those around them a better future.
Where might we find these aspiring individuals? Well, believe it or not, we started with the high schools.
We began with these fastidious students to hear some of the reasons why they choose to lead everyday and the kinds of people they aspire to be after high school. Each of these students even made a guest appearance to accept their awards at the luncheon last week, and showed up in high style.
AND this event couldn't have ended any better than with a little Pharrell
As always, we are delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor and support Leadership Memphis, and look forward to next year's luncheon!
