Greetings from the Prodigi Arts studio! It’s been some time since our last newsletter, but we can assure you that we have a good excuse. To kick off 2013 we began a social media campaign by building our presence over Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn, to better connect with followers. We also began curating the weekly blog “We Are Prodigi,” which keeps readers up to date on projects, news in the animation industry, the Memphis community and more!
For the past few months we have been hard at work filming twenty five nominees for the Memphis Business Journal’s 33rd annual Small Business Awards, which took place on May 23rd at the Holiday Inn. To give the audience the feel of the Grammy’s or Academy Award Ceremonies, we created a short animated title sequence to the event to introduce the outstanding nominees.
In March we shot a three minute live action animated video for the architecture firm Hnedak Bobo Group to premier at the National Indian Gaming Association Trade Show in Arizona in March. This project blended both live action video footage with 2D & 3D animation to showcase HBG’s story as a firm and innovative approach to design that they incorporate into every project. Below are some concept sketches and “behind the scenes” images of the video shoot.
Most recently, we got out of our area code to complete a 30 second promo video for the Center for Performing Arts in Carmel Indiana. We had the chance to showcase the incredible talent that the center is best known for.
Also in the life of Prodigi, we were recently featured in an article on the online site Nibletz.com, where readers got a chance to learn about Prodigi’s story, and who we aim to become as a company in the future. And speaking of stories, Chris O’ Conner got the chance to talk about his experiences growing up in Memphis and journey as an entrepreneur at Lemoyne Owen College during their celebration of National Trio Day.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to all of you for staying involved in the life of Prodigi Arts and ongoing support throughout the year. We look forward to the coming of Summer and hope that it holds great things for all of us in the Bluff City.
