This past weekend, dozens of actors and actresses were honored with awards at a red carpet event that has drawn visitors from around the World since 1972. You’ve seen them in movies, commercials and TV, and they’ve worked excruciatingly long and hard to get where they are.
The problem is, they weren’t actually present to accept their awards.
While the Super Bowl was in its final stages of preparation on Saturday night, animators, design artists, technicians and composers sauntered down the red carpet in high style to celebrate the 40th annual Annie Awards. Representing studios like DreamWorks, Disney, Pixar and Nickelodeon, creators held their breath in anticipation as their characters and animated productions sought the prestigious titles.
Animated features like “Wreck It Ralph,” “ParaNorman,” and “Brave” all took home awards for their creative productions that entertained audiences last year in theaters, while lesser known pieces like "Paperman" by Disney and "Robot Chicken" by Stupid Bubby Studios received awards for their short films. Cartoon Brew has a list of all the categories and winners at this year's Annie Awards.
Some day we hope to be receiving those golden trophies in Hollywood, but until then, we’ll continue to work with businesses and organization to better communicate their brands in new ways; like this project for Zycron Inc. that helped them tell a bit about themselves and their services:
